Society membership

There are four types of memberships:

Active membership: for those who meet the conditions of (article V) and have obtained a bachelors degree or an equivalent in a technical field, distance learning, Information Technology or computing. In addition to scientific research, contribution and development of using Learning content using distance learning systems.  

Honorary membership: Granted By a decree from the GS to those who have positively contributed to the development of the society, in this case the membership fee is dropped and he is allowed to attend the society’s committee meetings and has the right to participate in discussions but does not have the right to vote. 

Registered non attending member: this membership is granted to students and anyone working in the distance learning field and those who do not meet the enrolment criteria. These members only pays half the enrolment fee . They may attend the society’s general meetings and participate in discussions without having the right to vote.

Organization member : every official organization within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia like establishments or government or private sectors or clubs can be included as members who are interested in the distance learning and its applications can be included as members . If they  apply to obtain membership and qualify they would be ‘organization members’ and follow the same rules that apply  on registered non attending members.
